Welcome to Amy's World. The cast of characters includes my wonderful husband Jeff and our five spectacular (my blog, my bias) children. I staked out this little corner of cyberspace to share the highlights (and some of the more mundane moments) of our lives with our friends and family. Also, I needed a place to record the "unforgettable" thoughts, words and deeds of my children that would otherwise be forgotten . . . especially the ones that I know will be LOL funny someday, but not so much at the moment.
We began another year of homeschooling last week. Will started 1st grade and Nora is beginning Kindergarten. We're settling into a flexible routine to accomodate the ever-changing needs of the three little ones. The most recent favorite passtime of our two little boys is flooding their sister's bathroom by filling cups with water and throwing them on the floor as fast as they can before they are busted by Mom. The good news is that this appears to have replaced (at least for the time being) Nicholas' facination with flushing things (handtowels, toys, entire rolls of toilet paper, etc.) down the toilet.
By the way, if anyone is looking for birthday ideas for David. I think he would like to have his very own dishwasher. Mine is his favorite toy right now. He has zero attention span when I need him to pick up a toy, but he can watch the dishwasher blades spin for hours at a time.
I digress . . . Thanks for checking in on us. I hope this blog gives our dear friends and family a peek inside the curtains.
