Labor Day Weekend

It's turning out to be a beautiful and relaxing Labor Day Weekend. Highs in the low 80s, almost no humidity and Jeff home for three days straight . . . who could ask for anything more?

We had a delicious dinner with Jeff's parents last night to celebrate his Dad's birthday and their anniversary. We ate at the Blue Rock Inn in Washington, Virginia, where the food, service and view were all outstanding!

This afternoon, we hung out in the back yard for a while and then Jeff took the oldest four to the pool while Lucy took a nap. She was all tears when everyone left -- she had even put on her own "baby soup" (bathing suit). But she was so exhausted that she fell asleep before the van was out of the garage.

Next week marks the beginning of the "Real School Year". We started our homeschool year on August 1st, so that we can wrap up at the end of April. But, all the clubs, lessons, scouting events, etc. get underway in September. Tomorrow I need to make sure that all the necessary preparations are on my list, but for now it's time to go to sleep.
